Aliens and Humans

For a while now I have been wanting to write down some thoughts I have had about the relationship between humans and extraterrestrial life in the universe. After all, it is quite remarkable to think that human life is the only form of "intelligent" life out there.  I am not an expert on aliens by any means, but contact with aliens or extraterrestrials has been reported since human life began. But there is so much speculation on the television and in the news that it is easy to haves doubts. Furthermore, I myself am intrigued to learn about a United States Base named Area-51, where there has been an overload of mysterious activity in regard to alien and spaceship research and development. Oddly enough, no one knows what exactly goes on there, and not even the president is told what exactly is being conducted. After carefully observing all of this I have come up with my own understanding about our relationship with extraterrestrial life. It seems to me that whatever is out there is literally millions of times smarter than humans. Actually, I think there is a network of super-intelligent life, not just one race, but multiple races that work together. There are people that I know who are hopeful humans can rise to their potential and become apart of this super-race. My view on the other hand is more pessimistic when it comes to humans. I don't think that we will ever reach these higher beings, in fact I don't think they even like us. If anything, these aliens are taking wagers on human survival. Humans have flaws, and we disagree on fundamental issues amongst one another. Despite our ability to show compassion and care for those around us, the wrong kind of protection and narrow-minded direction will be our downfall. If I were an alien having observed humans over the course of our existence, I would bet that humans are destined to self-destruct and kill each other off in the very end. Being a optimist in the short term, an event as extravagant as the end of human life is not in the near future. I am sure that humanity itself will prosper for at least another couple of centuries.

Just a Blog

The name of my blog is "Just a Blog," but I am hoping to get more out of it than that. I have never blogged before so I am kind of excited to just write about what I like. I forgot to write this website down in written communitactions class and so I had to e-mail the instructor for a link. Anyway, I am here and on this blog now!
